
Introduction
One of FNB's strategic objectives is to grow
their unprocessed loan business. To do this they had to develop tools which
would make it easier for a wider range of IFA's to
complete application forms quickly and accurately whilst, at the same time,
giving the client an indication as to whether or not their application would be
successful.
Solution
In conjunction with FNB's sales and marketing team,
Equations developed Planfitter. This is a software
tool which allows the IFA to enter the client's financial information and to
find out which of FNB's loan plans the client is
suitable for. Through the introduction of knowledge management techniques we
have been able to enhance the application process, reduce the number of errors
and increase the efficiency of the whole unprocessed loan mechanism. In
addition, the marketing information captured is invaluable in improving the
targeting of existing and future products. All variable data (e.g. rates, IFA
commissions etc) are easily updated.
Result
FNB now have a highly effective e-business sales tool which will
generate a greater number of accurate loan applications. This will be a major
step towards achieving one of their strategic business goals. In addition to
using the tool with external IFA's, FNB can also use
it as an internal training tool and as a tool within their branches to handle
telephone applications.
